In Pittsburgh, Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate tackle foreign policy amid Ukraine crisis
We were pleased to host a live in-person discussion on foreign policy featuring Pennsylvania U.S. Senate candidates for the 2022 election. This event took place at the William Pitt Union Assembly Room at the University of Pittsburgh on March 9. This forum was co-hosted by Casa San José, PUMP, Women & Girls Foundation, and World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh.
We had two separate forums for Republican and Democratic candidates with a break in between. Candidates had the opportunity to answer pre-determined questions from our moderator, as well as questions from audience members present online and in-person. As this is a foreign policy forum, questions related to topics such as immigration, climate policy, human rights, and diplomacy. Candidates featured in the Democratic panel included John Fetterman, Conor Lamb, Malcolm Kenyatta, Alex Khalil, Lew Tapera, and Erik Gerhardt.
