Olivia started at the Council as a PULSE Fellow in September 2020 and became an official staff member in August 2021. Olivia graduated from Earlham College with a BA in Politics in 2019. During her time at university, she studied abroad in Greece, Germany, Spain, and Morocco. While in Berlin she examined the ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity of Berlin and how the German government and its citizens responded to the arrival of large numbers of refugees in the country from many parts of the world. After graduating Olivia served as an intern in the office of Congressman Tom Malinowski of New Jersey’s 6th District. Olivia began at the Council as a Fellow through the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE). While completing her service year with PULSE, she served on the PULSE Board’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee. During her PULSE year, she also completed the Global Institute for Human Rights at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Olivia is passionate about international human rights, global engagement, and creating more free and fair democratic institutions
